Poison Blade skill - Why you (most likely) want to skip it entirely
I did some calcs based on current data we have, to determinate if Poison Blade is worth to use.
The lv.1 Posion Blade grants ~50% def shred on average (~65% on max) during normal play.
I'm taking into consideration scenario of: Doing 4 hits vs Poison Blade + 3 hits.
- Sample mobs were with:
1572 Defense and 629 Defense
~this roughly translates to 60% difference
60% is an average outcome of Poison Blade on Level: 13 (simulated scenario),
With this data in mind, I made Dice Rolls (without any passives) taking into consideration one value, which was: 10 (your usual "average" roll).
- Super mob received fixed value of: 4821 dmg
- Easy mob received fixed value of: 5328 dmg
~this roughly translates to 10% dps increase difference
In other words: to also deal 5328 dmg on higher Defense (Super) mob, you require 60% def shred.
This is much worse outcome than 4 hits, because:
4821 x 4 = 19284
5328 x 3 = 15984
In scenario of Poison Blade Lv.1 (~50% shred on average), the average DPS gain is ~6.87%... Which as you can guess, is even worse.
In conclusion, unless we face mobs with a signifficant amount of Defense (this was Stage 6) : Poison Blade is simply not worth your Skill Points and especially your turns - even if it never diminshes upon "burn dmg" or when you miss with Gambit.
