Bring back the old view of the world

I would dearly love it if the black world we have to navigate with our pets would go away. I think the idea of a fog of war can be implemented without having to make the world practically invisible. I hate cranking up to maximum the brightness of my computer just to try and see the land and still struggling. That coupled with the new format has made me stop with pets altogether for the time being.

In my example, the map is visible yet shows nothing additional. It is only as your pets explore that they leave pathways and reveal nodes, just as they have been.

Players with few pets are at a massive disadvantage. This "fog" actually gives players with large numbers of pets a huge advantage. They will more often find undiscovered nodes and hoard them. When we could clear the fog, more players could find nodes and thus harvest the nodes. This provided competition at the nodes. Preventing players with large numbers of pets from harvesting entire nodes alone.

i didn't try to crank up my brightness but i notice a soon as my pets are coming back or go explore another region the map turn back to black, if i have explore a region on map it should stay visible, i understand the point players with large number of pets will have a huge advantage but how i will know if a node appear in a region that i have already explored ?

New nodes popping up in old areas doesn't relate to their previous explorations, they have to explore the area again to find them. You only get to continue seeing the ones they find that haven't been depleted (or still have pets present if they have been).
