Community Validation Before Major Changes
I would also like to suggest improving how major updates are introduced to the community.
Right now, significant changes (like the durability/scrap system) are being implemented directly, and only afterward do players react to them. This creates frustration on both sides — players feel unheard, and developers have to deal with backlash after the fact.
A more effective approach could be:
Before releasing major updates, share a proposal or concept with the community and allow players to give feedback or vote on it.
This could be done through:
• Polls on key mechanics
• Preview posts explaining the intended changes
• Limited test phases or beta environments
The goal isn’t to let players design the game, but to validate direction before full implementation.
This would help:
• Identify potential balance issues early
• Align updates with actual player behavior and expectations
• Reduce negative reactions after release
• Build stronger trust between developers and the community
Right now, impactful changes are being introduced without prior discussion, which leads to widespread dissatisfaction. A simple feedback loop before updates would help avoid situations like this in the future and create a better experience for both players and developers.
