Ember Generation Rework

My Kingdom is currently K4, and upgrading requires over 19k Embers. With my current ember generation rate, that feels practically impossible in the coming weeks—maybe even months.

The core issue is progression balance. As you upgrade your Kingdom, you gain access to more valuable resources—but at the same time, you largely stop getting Embers from chests and mob kills. That creates a counterintuitive situation: you need Embers the most right when your access to them drops off. Progression shouldn’t punish players like this.

One possible solution would be a resource conversion system—allowing players to exchange rare resources for Embers. If the ratios are tuned properly, this wouldn’t necessarily cause inflation.

Another idea (also mentioned on Discord) is to let players choose the “reward tier” they receive. For example, selecting K3 rewards would allow continued Ember gains. However, since this could reduce rewards like Armory, Bronze, and TLRPG drops, this choice should probably apply only to resource types—not overall rewards.

The best solution to the resource problem (especially for ember) is a peer-to-peer market that allows players to exchange it for other resources, bronze, or $T. As demand for a particular resource grows, players can focus on meeting that demand by increasing their production of that resource until its price is arbitraged, reaching an equilibrium (that is, when the demand for that resource is met and a surplus is produced in the market, the price will fall, and it will no longer be profitable to dedicate itself exclusively to producing that resource, promoting the production of other resources instead to obtain maximum profit).
