Proposal for Economic Balancing, Fairness, and Marketplace Implementation
I would like to offer a constructive perspective on how to maintain a healthy and competitive environment for our community, which currently consists of approximately 150 to 200 active players.
The project has recently moved toward a model where rewards are significantly increased but remain locked until the Web3 launch. While this aims to benefit early players in the long run, it creates immediate challenges for daily gameplay.
To keep the community engaged during this year of waiting, I propose the following adjustments and the implementation of a player-driven economy:
- Balancing "Permanent Status" with Current Contributions
Currently, there is a perceived gap between older permanent ranks and the value provided by current donors. While we value the history of the game, it is vital that lifelong benefits granted in the past do not overshadow the efforts of those investing real money and time today. We suggest a review to ensure that current support is just as impactful as any status granted in previous stages. - Implementing a Deflationary Player Marketplace
To stimulate the economy among the 200 active players, we propose a Marketplace where resources and equipment can be traded using Bronze. To prevent inflation and ensure sustainability, this system should include:
Transaction Fees: A small percentage of each sale should be "burned" or removed from the game to act as a currency sink. Listing Fees: A minor Bronze cost to post items, preventing market saturation. Equipment Wear and Tear:
Instead of item destruction, equipment should have a durability and wear system that requires Bronze or specific resources for repairs. This maintains a constant demand for resources without punishing players with the total loss of their items. - Restoring Vitality to the Bronze Economy
The transition to a system of locked future rewards, combined with the recent reduction in Bronze drops, has created a "liquidity squeeze". A Marketplace would allow Bronze to circulate effectively, giving F2P and active players a way to progress daily by trading their farmed materials. - Meritocracy as a Retention Tool
A competitive RPG thrives when progress is tied to active participation. We urge the team to ensure the "playing field" is level for everyone, regardless of when they joined. This ensures that newer donors do not feel at a permanent disadvantage compared to older, static accounts.
Recommendations:Marketplace Beta:
Launch a version of the market focused on resource trading to test the economic impact. Update Donation Tiers:
Ensure current donations are competitive with any legacy or permanent ranks.
Weekly Bronze Events: Implement time windows where the 150+ players can farm Bronze more effectively to fuel the new Marketplace. We want all players—veterans and newcomers alike—to feel that their time and money are well-spent in TokenLordsRPG. Sincerely,
